It’s easy to learn, but offers all the depth, nuance, and complexity you want. While far more flexible and less rules-intensive than other games, it still has the power and sophistication to create any story or adventure you can imagine.
This primer contains the core rules of the Cypher System, letting you learn and try out the system. It also includes a short adventure and a set of pregenerated characters. The adventure is set in the “real world”—making it easy to jump into without learning a new setting.
But the Cypher System is also great for fantasy, science fiction, horror, cyberpunk, superheroes—virtually anything! Aliens-inspired space horror. Whimsical light fantasy, à la The Princess Bride. Old-West zombie apocalypse. Swashbuckling space pirates. Reality-hopping dimensional travelers. If you can imagine it, the Cypher System makes it easy!
The Roll20 conversion of the Cypher System Rules Primer contains all the book assets and information fully integrated for the VTT!
Module: The Cypher System Rules Primer includes an adventure module. To create a new game, click on the Start New Game option from the site menu. The column on the right-hand side of the page is titled Optional: Choose a Module. Clicking on the Cypher System Rules Primer cover image will select this module as the base for your new game. NOTE: your module elements can be transmogrified into existing games if you have a Pro subscription. For more information, check out this help article.
Compendium: You can access all of the rules, items, and creatures from the Cypher System Rules Primer in the in-app compendium, as well as on the Roll20 web compendium.
Art Pack: You can access the Art Pack under the Premium Assets section of the Art Library in-app. These assets are only available for in-app use.

All Cypher System content on Roll20 uses the Cypher Systems by Roll20 character sheet.
