As you emerge from the forest hear the soft gurgling of water gently flowing over rocks. You see a river just up ahead in the distance. A sturdy stone bridge stretches from one side to the other. But what’s that? The hills surrounding you spiral and curve, hiding their secrets from view. The rocks hold deep crevices that shelter unknown creatures. Friends or foes. And what is that sound that seems to be coming from under the bridge?

What adventures await you at The River Crossing? This battlemap offers a range of possibilities for combat. Your players might stake out the high ground and wait to ambush a passing caravan or they might be ambushed as they travel in the pass. The bridge might hide all sorts of nasty surprises or maybe it’s controlled by an unfriendly Lord and your players will have to find another way around. In our holiday version of this map the crevice hides a nasty surprise. What loot will your players unwrap when they defeat the fearsome Yeti?
