This set of Animated Tokens is designed to outline AOE spells and add magical flair to a tabletop. Useful for Dragon's breath, Spell traps, Fire barriers, explosions, or whatever other use comes to mind.
The effects in here are made with 5e in mind, however many of them are agnostic enough where they could be used for multiple systems anyway.
This pack is intended as a supplement to my first Animated AOE pack, containing new shapes and a couple new elements. While it will work standalone, more shapes are available for those who purchase both packs.
Returning elements with a new Donut and Line shape are:
Cold
Poison
Acid
Color
Fire
Lightning
And two brand new Elements:
Psychic
Radiant
Returning elements have two new shapes, Donut and Line.
Donut comes in 10ft and 20ft Radius, and is a circle with only the outermost 5ft squares covered by the effect. Additionally, for more custom sizes, alignments, or grid shapes, there's a gridless version that you can use for whichever size you like.
Lines come in a 5x30ft rectangle and have 4 degrees of rotation available. 0 degrees, 15 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees. For wider degrees of rotation, effects can be flipped and rotated in 90 degree increments to encompase more options.
Psychic and Radiant have the same two shapes as above, as well as:
Cones:
15Ft, 30Ft, and 60Ft,
Spheres/Circles/Cylinders:
10Ft Radius, 20Ft Radius, 30Ft Radius, 40Ft Radius
To use these effects, create a character sheet and give it the same name as the effect. Assign this sheet to any players who will need to move the template, and keep it with their main character.
Place the spell on the tabletop and size it to match with the grid.
Click on the animation, and open the character sheet you made. Under the Bio and Info Tab, click Edit, and Use Selected Token.
Now, you should be able to drag the Character sheet directly onto the table and it'll retain its size. If you gave players control over that journal, they should also be able to move it themselves to target opponents.
If your spell shoots in a cone or line, there's a different template for the degrees of your attack. Make a character sheet for the different directions if you plan to use the grid ruler versions!
