This bundle includes:
Knight at the Museum - The party have been tasked with 'liberating' a magical artefact from the private collection of Count Essenheim. The count is a prominent figure in the city and a member of the lords council, but is disliked by many due to his selfishness and hoarding of wealth. It has been reported that the item in question currently sits in one of the displays inside his Museum. The items exact location within the museum is unknown as it is only accessible by invitation, but apparently security is very lax. Most nights a single guard sits inside the entrance, and they are known to be a drunkard. The party may be encouraged by the apparent simplicity of the task, but the more intelligent members will be right to be wary, for the museum does not need guarding. If intruders are detected the displays themselves are enchanted to come alive!
The Archivists Sanctum Library - The Sanctum Library was created by Archivist Venellum to house her extensive personal collection of histories, religious texts, creature codices, arcana and pulp fiction. Most of the archives are open to the public (for a fee), although some of the more dangerous tomes are kept under lock and key and require special permits to view. Anyone is free to visit, so long as they are clean, can afford entrance, and most importantly follow the first rule of the Sanctum - Absolutely No Talking! Those who break the rule will fall foul of the wrath of Head Librarian Trost who sits at the front of the reading room, surveying all. The rarest and most precious books are kept within Venellum's inner sanctum, a private residence that sits atop the library, accessible only through knowledge of her transportation sigil (or a good set of climbing gear/wings). What exactly she is researching up there, no one is sure, but Trost has become concerned with her recent demeanour. The usually bright and excitable scholar has become withdrawn and spends more time talking to herself than to others.
The Chimaera Grand Theatre - The Chimaera Grand may not be the largest theatre in the city, but its has the longest waiting list for tickets. The productions put on there are known throughout as the very best of entertainment, and for members of high society, patronage is all but expected. The outstanding showmanship comes not only from the talented troupe of bardic performers and musicians, but in the use of illusionary magics to transport the audience to another world. It is rumoured that the proprietor himself, the extravagant Señor Extraño, casts and weaves these images from behind the curtain. On this particular night, the party have been hired as protection by a local noble who believes there is a plot to assassinate him. Rather than hide, this noble wishes to expose the plot and needs an experienced group of adventurers to watch his back. The party choose their vantage points and wait. The first half of the play passes without incident, but just as the climax is approaching the lights flicker and a scream is heard from somewhere inside. Suddenly each member of the party finds themselves face to face with one of the illusionary monsters from the play, but these creatures seem to have solid form. The theatre twists and turns around them as each is faced with a bewildering concoction of their own worst nightmares.
