Temples don't always mean peaceful places to pray. Temple Maps 2 gives you a mix of functioning sanctuaries, ruined holy sites, underground chambers, and strange ritual grounds that can fit everything from a traditional cleric's adventure to something much darker.
The Church of Endless Seasons is probably the most flexible of the bunch. You get both intact and destroyed versions, with each available in winter, bright, and jungle variants that change the surrounding environment and coloring to match. That makes it easy to use the same basic structure for very different regions, or to show how a familiar holy site has been reclaimed, abandoned, or transformed over time.
For something more sinister, the Grim Cloister is a dramatic subterranean chamber inspired by clerics who deal with death, but it works just as well as the headquarters of a necromantic order, a forbidden crypt, or a place where something has gone seriously wrong. The Monument of Howls takes things in a more primal direction: a massive wolf-head statue watches over a moonlit ritual site, with variants showing it buried in snow, long abandoned, or still in use with braziers burning during a ceremony.
And if you need something suitably grand for the end of a journey, the Mountain top Temple puts a massive statue above a long stone arcade overlooking the landscape. You get both an intact version and a crumbling, destroyed variant, so it can serve as a functioning pilgrimage site just as easily as the remains of one your players have come to explore.
