Exploring the desert takes a lot more than just fighting giant scorpions in the open dunes. Desert Maps 2 gives you a mix of settlements, buried ruins, quiet wilderness, and dangerous travel routes to build out a proper arid adventure.
The Sunken Pyramid makes for a great centerpiece to a desert settlement, with the pyramid itself leading into a fully mapped tomb filled with statues, sarcophagi, and ancient iconography. The Buried Archives takes a different approach, giving you the remains of a once-vast academic institution that has been slowly swallowed by the sands. Its exterior and partially buried library rotunda make for a particularly fun place to drop an investigation or dungeon crawl.
For traveling between those larger locations, you've got a few very different pieces of desert wilderness to work with. Lunadew Oasis gives your players a quiet place to rest beneath the moonlight, while Desert Wilderness provides a more flexible stretch of open terrain with variants for a campsite or a much barer landscape. And when you want travel to turn into a fight, Arid Warcamp places a guarded military encampment in a natural bottleneck between rocky cliffs, giving you a pretty nasty little tactical encounter site.
