Phandalin is a small frontier town lying among the wooded hills south of the great Neverwinter Wood, along the road between the High Road and the mountains of the Sword Coast. At first glance there is little remarkable about the place. Its buildings are scattered loosely across the slopes of a broad hill, surrounded by fields, orchards, and patches of woodland, while paths of packed earth wind between houses, workshops, and farms.
