Presenting The Tower of the Magi: School of Hight Magic in all its glory!
With twelve floors, this majestic tower houses the region's premiere magic school and guild. Filled with class rooms, lecture halls, dorms, and mystery, this location is brimming with opportunities for one-shoot adventures, dungeon crawls, campaigns, or as a base of operation.
1st Level: Welcome! Tour the terrace, visit the garden or the pond, or simply gaze out over the balcony, beholding the sea as its stretches out before you. Then approach the mirrored door. Gaze upon your reflection in contemplation, and if the the master of the tower deems it so, enter.
Enter into the receiving Hall and discover a dozen or more bronze statues depicting wizards of old. Housed in their staffs are flames, casting guttering light and long shadows throughout the chamber. The doorway behind is gone, replaced by a portal of glowing light. An apprentice wizard scurries through clutching parcels as she whispers to herself, "I'm late. I'm late." Yet there wasn't anyone on or near the terrace before you entered.
The wonders have only just begun, for ahead is the Rotunda, which is a series of concentric circular gantries around a massive construct of crystal and metal gleaming with magical light. Off in the remaining cardinal directions are the tower's communal spaces. To the west the Great Hall, to the north the library, to the east the Grand Lecture Hall.
Numerous stairs take students, faculty, and visiting wizards to the floors above and below.
Sublevel: Beneath the magical heart of the tower lies the sublevel class rooms circling the Under Rotunda, in the middle of which is the passage to the Crypt of Trials. Three classrooms are easily found, but the fourth is hidden by illusion magic, and is the first test students are given: "Find your classroom, if you can."
2nd Level: This floor consists of two class rooms and the second level of the Tower's expansive library.
3rd Level: Houses the last of the class rooms before a central spiral stairway leads up into the dorms.
4th and 5th Level: These floors are dedicated to the housing of students. Excuse the mess and the smell, they are still practicing their Prestidigitation spells.
6th Level: Here, three rooms and a common room have been set aside for visiting wizards and come fully furnished for maximum comfort.
7th and 8th Levels: Faculty members are encouraged to spend the academic year at the school and so have been provided spacious quarters for sleep, relaxation, and study. Over the years, the decor and atmosphere of these apartments have certainly taken on the personality of their professors.
9th Level: Though the entire tower is considered the master's home, the 9th level is their's alone. Few are invited into this inner sanctum so receive the honor that is given if you do find yourself here.
10th Level: The Arcanum Sanctum, a place for powerful wizards to gather, and either discuss grave matters, or weave powerful spells.
11th Level: The Observatory is placed here ands sits just below the Celestial Gyroscope, which is a massive machine of magic and technology. Some say the mages use it to observe distant points in the sky, others, to the various planes of existence, and some say it might possibly be able to manipulate the very reality around the tower itself.
And there you have a quick overview of the Tower of the Magi: School of High Magic, it took me awhile to make this, so I hope you enjoy!
