A long-forgotten disease, believed to have vanished centuries ago, has begun to surface once more in several cities across the region. No one knows how or why. Neither healers nor mages have been able to uncover its origin, and every attempt at a cure ends in failure. The symptoms are as strange as they are terrifying—those afflicted fall into a deep sleep from which they never awaken. Panic is spreading. The town council, desperate and out of options, no longer knows where to turn.
Then, an old voice broke the silence.
An elderly woman, older than anyone can remember—almost a relic herself—spoke of something no one else seemed to recall. With eyes clouded by age but a voice steady with conviction, she told of a cabin high atop a forgotten, tiered plateau, so remote and hidden that not even crows dare fly above it. “That’s where the world’s magic went to sleep,” she said. No one believed her. No one, except you.
According to her tale, many, many years ago—when trees had yet to claim the valley’s edge and the rivers still followed ancient paths—a powerful wizard vanished from the world. Some say he grew tired of mankind; others, that he feared the reach of his own magic. Whatever the truth, he disappeared without a trace. Over time, his story faded into legend, and then into little more than a whisper passed down through generations.
Guided only by the woman’s vague memories and an old tapestry that depicts the plateau, you set off in search of the cabin. Perhaps the wizard is still alive. Perhaps he remembers something no one else does. Perhaps he’s the only one who can stop what’s coming.
The cabin awaits. So does the magic. The question is: will you get there in time… and will what you find be salvation—or something far worse?
