In the middle of the sea, far from any coast, there is a small, solitary island. There are no trees or paths, only a single structure: an ancient, luxurious tomb made of stone with gold inlays. The island is so small that there is barely enough space to walk around the tomb.
It is believed that a powerful leader was buried here, one so strong in life that a magical force field was placed around the tomb. No one has been able to break it, and many have died just trying to get close.
The island is surrounded by rings of massive rocks rising from the water like natural barriers. The sea crashes against them violently, making any attempt to reach the island extremely dangerous. The currents are strong, the waves strike with force, and there is no safe place to land.
The adventurers are hired to reach the tomb, not only to recover part of the treasure, but to uncover whether the magic protecting it hides something more... something that has yet to awaken.
