Life is a Highway, but we won't sing about that. Roads for travel, roads for adventure! Here are a few stretches of open road for gameplay. They could be a modern game or post-apocalypse depending on your set dressing.
Coastal Road: Small and winding road hugging the cliffs along the coast. A fine place for a chase or ambush. Long map.
Country Road: A pleasant lane in the country, winding through trees and rocks. Fairly large map.
Highway: A wide open stretch of straight two-lane highway with a crossing point for patrol cars. Large, long map.
Overpass: The highway passes over the smaller local boulevard with an offramp. Very large map.
Railroad Crossing: The railroad tracks cross the highway here. Make sure you stop if the gateway is down!
Rest Stop: A place off the side of the highway to let you relax a moment, maybe enjoy a cup of coffee, before heading back out onto the road.
Side Road: A smaller road branches off of the main road here.
No gridlines.
Most maps are gridsize 40x30 and are at 4000 by 3000 pixels so they stay sharp when printed or zoomed in.
These maps are quite a bit larger than that, but can be easily scaled to required sizes.
