"You lot think you’re ready for what’s out there? Let me tell you a thing.
We were three ships strong when we saw it—looked like an island, all quiet and still. I yelled to steer clear, as I was meant to do hic. Then it moved. Legs like towers, shell covered in wrecks older than some empires.
It didn’t roar. Didn’t charge. Just looked at us. Eyes like loaded canons, black and deep. Each move it made would raise a small wave hic.
We fled. Burned our powder, cut our sails, left good men behind. I ain’t proud of it—but I’m alive. What were we to do?
So if you’re heading off the docks and into the deep, just remember: you don’t kill the Crabking.
