Slogging for days through the lightless labyrinth of caverns beneath the mountain, wary every time the tunnels open into wider chambers where hungry or malignant creatures always lair - fresh air is an almost forgotten memory. The mind plays tricks, it sees lights where there are none, and where there are lights there are snares laid to catch you. And then we encounter the lakeshore - vast, black, and mysterious - and creepily placid. Something definitely lurks beneath its surface, waiting for us to act stupid...
The Underdark Crawl Cave Map Pack 1 includes:
At default 70px grid scale, the HD maps are immersive hex crawls. Increase the map size (to decrease the grid size) and character tokens can walk in the tunnels (examples show maps at 2X scale and 120 grid squares). Combine with battle maps for detailed encounter locations. The maps give lots of room to move, and used with lighting, walls, and Fog of War, your players will be too paralyzed with fear to move.
Tip: you can draw a route in the GM layer to help you see the way through the tunnels - follow "the Old Dwarven Road". Characters will have to follow the landmarks and mile markers - if they are perceptive enough to notice them
