Clearing: A bright opening in the forest canopy. This would make a nice place to camp.
Deep Woods: With no trails or landmarks, it is very easy to get turned around in the deep dark woods.
Forest Stream: A babbling brook makes its way through the forest with gurgling rapids and still pools. All animals come to drink at the stream.
Forest Trail: A wide path through the woods make travel much easier. It makes ambushes much easier too.
Forested Cliffs: The terrain gets rougher as you climb into the hills.
Heart of the Forest: A massive ancient tree dwells in a dark clearing hidden deep in the forest. Who dares enter the fairy ring?
Rocky Hilltop: This outcropping thrusts its way up in the middle of the woods. It is a very defensible place, but you may get surrounded...
Waterfall Grotto: A lovely clear pool is under a sparkling waterfall that springs from the granite cliffs. A great place to camp, or encounter wildlife.
