Arctic Station Subzero (or Antarctic Station Subzero if you prefer) is an isolated research station in the frozen wastes. What might they find in the eternal Winter? Whether its John Carpenter's the Thing, Lovecraft's Mountains of Madness, or Doctor Who's Seeds of Doom: the frozen North (or South) is an exciting adventure setting!
Arctic Station Subzero: A few Quonset huts and durable buildings huddled against the cold. A small airstrip and helipad bring in supplies and scientists.
Avalanche: Dark rocky cliffs and deep snow make a dangerous place to get stuck. This is a good location for hazardous rescue operations.
Glacier River: A frozen river with deep crevices allow for quick, if risky, travel.
Ice Floes: Be careful near the coast, as the ice shelf can break up under your weight!
Lodge and Lab: The main building in the station has living quarters and a space for scientific research.
Power Generator: The main power comes from a new fuel cell generator. It is kept apart from the rest of the station for safety reasons.
Snow Field: Wide open stretches of ice and snow cover most of the landscape. Be wary of cracks and crevices.
Storage and Cold Lab: Two outbuildings are used for long-term storage and for a laboratory specializing in very cold research, kept at subzero temperatures.
Vehicle Maintenance: The snow-cats are kept and maintained here, along with a metal shop and work areas.
