Jungle Lake

At the bottom of the valley, the nonchalant river flows into a placid lake. Duckweed and lilypads grow in the shade of an imposing cliff, shielded from the corrosive sun. As you approach, your lungs fill with humidity and the sweet scent of rotting fruits and foliage. The humming of exotic birds fills the air. Startled beasts rustle amongst the leaves, scared away from their usual drinking point. As you move towards the muddy shore, you immediately notice something unusual. Large tracks near the water's edge, left by something with imposing claws. Keep your wits about you, despite the oppressive heat !

Day — The heat of the sprawling jungle is getting the better of you. Let's hope the river will finally provide some fresh air !
Night — The jungle hums with strange noises coming from everywhere at once. Most belong to local beasts you can more or less identify. And for the rest... Well... That's what is worrying you.
Dawn — A red sun timidly shines over the East. You have a few hours before the heat becomes overwhelming.
Rainy — Low clouds roll over the dampened jungle, suddenly conquered by frogs and all kinds of colourful snails. You are soaking, desperately trying to find some amount of protection near the cliffs. But alas...
Fairy Foliage — The thick foliage of this colourful jungle overwhelms your senses. You lost track of time hours ago. Or was it days ? All manners of peculiar creatures buzz around you. How did you even get here in the first place ?
Cursed — The colourful display of the jungle has faded away in this part of the forest. You could try finding the reason of it, or move away as fast you can towards a more "hospitable" part of the wood. Probably the latter.
Ancient Forest — The tall silhouette of primeval mahogany trees stand in front of you. There is something strange about this part of the jungle. Something ancient.
Blood Orange — A red haze glows over the jungle. The beasts have fallen into some sort otherworldly frenzy. Best not tarry. Run ! A pack of... something is hunting you down !
