Elven Ruins

Amidst the deeper part of the woods, pillars of stone and mossy walls timidly emerge through the foliage, cold remnants of a lost elven civilization. The elven seers worship the moon as their benevolent goddess, a divine power who did not fear the dark, as it would bring comfort to her children. Now, the silent forest slowly claims its territory back.

Day — A timid sun shines over the ruins. Its feeble rays struggling to light up the ancient cobblestone and mossy ruins, as if the night still had dominion over this place. Something strange happened here ages ago... and still happens.
Night — High in the starlit sky, the moon shine open the water pool, shimmering on the surface of the fountain. A calm goddess smiles upon your battle !
Rainy — Dark clouds obscure the sky, masking the stars and moon. Heavy rain falls over your shoulder with a rythmic splash. You wait in hiding for your contact to appear. Wait... and wait. For hours. You know it in your bones : it is a matter of minutes now before they finally show up. It must be !
Cursed — The elves left this ritual ground long ago. A terrible curse fell upon their ancient ruins. Some say it was caused by their departure, others that the elves left because of what they brought upon their head themselves.
Moon phases (4 variations) — As the night unfurls, the moon rises and fall. As the days go by, its visage shifts and wanes. Discover the ruins under four different moon phases : new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waning gibbus (and full moon provided by the base variation).
Blood Basin (4 variations) — The altar and moon pool were desecrated by a god of blood, a dark god. Carmine fluids were spattered on the cobblestones, splashed over the mossy walls in strange patterns. Will you dare investigating the ritual ?
Endless pit (4 variations) — In front of the altar, a well, seemingly bottomless, descends to the confines of the earth. Will you be the one to explore its depths ? or do you think its contents shall remain a mystery for everyone ? It's up to you to decide.
