The Vile Orphanage

The sound of crying children can be heard from behind the fence. Amidst the bustling city, most onlookers do not stop for it but the sounds piqued your curiosity. You push the creaking doors of the orphanage and stumble upon the Drow head-mistress, giving you a stern look.

Bittersweet — The pale purple lights of the streetlamps shine over the rundown building. Its entrance door, slightly ajar, leads you into a dimly lit corridor. You can hear a small child sobbing in a nearby room. What happened to them ?
Plain Lights — For those who would rather have their spooky drow orphanage using plain, non-magical, orange lights.
Rainy — Heavy rain penetrates the damages roof tiles, forming large wet puddles around the building.
Snowy — You can see a flickering light through the frozen window. Snow covers the cobblestones as you slowly approach, trying not to slip over the black ice.
Destroyed — The building was seemingly abandoned for years. Mouldy tapestries fill the air with a sickening scent. Moth-eaten garments and broken furniture are but symptoms of what really transpired here years ago.
Rage — A red light glows over the orphanage, filling the rooms with a sinister haze.
Envy — A sickening color variation setting up a uneasy atmosphere.
Melancholy — Shades of gray will let you see the orphanage from another, more sinister, angle.
