Jungle Excavation

Following the rumors of lost ruins and buried treasures deep in the jungle, the small group left the community who accomodated them for days and headed down the overgrown path. They've been gone for weeks now and the local scouts report an increase in hostile reptile activity in the area. Some speak of terrible wailing heard only at night and ghastly apparition. You were sent to investigate. This... is the dig site. Amongst muddy bones and remnants of the old civilisation, you discover hastily scribbled notes talking about a strange artifact, a sealed tomb and its overbearing curse.

All four variations come for two alternate settings : Destroyed digging site, where the whole area was ransacked by unknown forces, and Active digging site, where the archeologists are still hard at work.

Day — An oppressive sun shines over the digging area. The workers try to hide away from the heat in their tents as much as they are let to.
Dusk/Thicket — A red glow illuminates the west as the sun goes down. Soon, darkness will cover the area. That's usually when the "sounds" start coming up from the opened tomb in the north.
Night — All matters of strange noises echo through the woods. The birds, the animals, the unclear chatting of men... and the dreaded wails which the opened tomb in the north echoes.
Morning — A pale light timidly illuminates the jungle... and what remains of its guests.
