Whether you are role-playing in a grim-dark sci-fi universe or a lovecraftian horror setting, these alien marauders will slaughter everyone you love and won’t stop chasing you.
"In the darkness between the stars, jagged spaceships approach isolated colonies like packs of hungry predators circling a wounded animal. Their cargo holds are empty of prisoners and the crew is extremely hungry. They are the Gul, the most feared and savage alien species on the galactic north-western fringes. Every single member of their culture is a warrior by necessity for their food of choice is other species. You cannot reason with them, surrender will only prolong your suffering. To them you are food. Even pretending that you’re dead won’t save you, for they eat the dead. If the Gul are coming to your planet you have two options, fight or hide. If you choose to fight them, make sure that they don’t catch you alive. If you choose to hide, crawl inside the deepest hole you can find, lay as still as possible and pray silently. They can hear breathing through walls. If it were me, I’d have a grenade on me at all times just to make sure there will be nothing left of me for them to eat. Just out of spite…well…there’s option three I suppose. Drink enough poison and even they will refuse to eat your corpse."
The Gul are a barbaric species of aliens that inhabits the furthest regions of known space. They have a warrior culture and for the most part are unwilling to communicate with other intelligent species. Their tenacity in battle, extensive body modifications and willingness to use technology that is as deadly to its users as it is to their enemies, combined with their penchant for devouring other intelligent species makes them feared by all.
Over-reliant on unsafe atomic energy to power their ships, weapons and colonies, the species exhibits rampant mutation. Even the armour that they wear for protection is warm to the touch as it is made of radioactive metals. Sadly the entire race suffers from the effects of this to such an extent that it is rare to dissect a member of the Gul and not discover that they were suffering from some type of cancer. Due to their refusal to communicate, it is unknown if they are even aware that this technology is killing them.
It is speculated that even before their culture shifted to space piracy, the Gul were a predatory species that were perhaps already known for their monstrous practices on their home planet.
It is also theorised that mismanagement of their nuclear technology led to killing all life on their original planet and forcing the species into their current predicament.
Whatever the reason for their practice of hopping from planet to planet, the end result is always the same. They consume other species for food. This coupled with their outright refusal to negotiate, has led to the Gul joining the very short list of intelligent species to be purposefully excluded from participation in the Intergalactic Federation of Star Systems’ parliament. They also share the dubious honor of belonging to the Solar Empire’s list of alien races to exterminate on sight, which some consider to be a badge of honor worn by those species that refuse to bow to imperialism.
To go into detail about what the Gul do to other intelligent species that they encounter is too grim to describe here, but suffice it to say that debates over the eating of other intelligent beings of the galaxy have the tendency to dominate discussion in the various galactic courts as multiple intelligent species who have evolved from predators have a history of conflict over the morality of such matters.
These are the Alien Marauders. Crazed irradiated invaders from outer space coming to your game to eat your player characters.
In this art pack you will find:
Thank you for taking interest in this token pack. These aliens are hyper-aggressive intelligent monsters borrowing from the looks of serpents and insects with their scaly bodies, long tails, multiple limbs, spikey exoskeletons and lack of distinguishable faces. They are clearly meant to be bad-guys for your next sci-fi campaign, but if you think they are cute for some reason, buy them anyway and feel free to disregard all of the lore above and make them have picnics or something. Their knife-hands will be very useful for cutting sandwiches into equal parts so they can share with their friends.
