Betwixt their placid ripples, the still waters reflect celestial imagery beyond any comprehension. The stars dance and swirl in an undecipherable pattern, aligning, alternating and colliding, projecting a myriad lights onto the cavern's face. A peculiar tree, with crystalline branches and leaves, grows on the middle of a small island, barely above the lake's surface. It projects a ghostly, unnerving, yet alluring light throughout the nearby tunnels. It compels you. You have to approach it. To study it. With that only thought gnawing at the back your mind, you dip one foot in the starlit, cold, waters of the Beyond.
