What does this area inspired in Baldur's gate have to offer?

You have washed up on a shore after your boat has crashed into the surrounding stone spires that guard the coastline. The beach is littered with debris, corals and palm trees grow sporadically along the rocky outcrops.

As you venture north, more signs of civilisation start to come into view; washed-up broken boats sit near a small dock that has started to fall into the ocean. Further north sits a stone wall, blocking your path from the beach. To either side of the tall wall sits cliffs lined with trees for any of those agile enough to risk the climb, otherwise, one best hope that the gate is not guarded by those who would rather see you dead than pass through to whatever adventures lay beyond. To the west, if your party is to explore is a hidden cave and another way from the beach. Are you brave enough to see what stirs in the shadows of the cave; be it that of a beast, or perhaps a possible friend?
