Khazan-Khan Bridge

Epitomy of the late queen Draga the Second, the bridge of Khazan-Khan was the embodiment of both the kingdom's prowess and pride. Spaning the entire Valley of the Grey Mother, the bridge was dedicated to the queen's former lover, Khazan-Khan. The stonework claimed countless dwarven lives but the results were here : merely a few days of travel were enough for people from the valley to reach the dwarven capital, cresting the mountains, instead of weeks of perilous trek before. The biting frost, the roaring winds, the blinding clouds... everything indicated nature would not tolerate such a bold act against its supremacy. Soon, winged monsters were preying upon the travellers. After another draconic attack, the traffic was stopped for security reasons... and the bridge was closed indefinitely.

Forsaken — The abandoned bridge is now covered in broken apparatus left by the last merchants who tried crossing it, amidst broken weapons left by the last soldiers who tried fighting on top of it.
Open Gates — From a time where the bridge was still in use, the main gates are opened for travellers to go by.
Closed Gates — From a time where the bridge was still in use, the main gates are closed. The guards are preparing for the upcoming battle !
Snowy — Thick frost covers the bridge's mantle, rendering its icy surface particularly dangerous near the unprotected edges above the abyss !
Burning — In the middle of a dragon attack, the bridge was ransacked and its fortifications lit afire !
Revenants — The spirits of all the workers who fell during the birdge's construction still haunt the bridge to this day ! Be wary of getting to close to the edge !
Sea of clouds — Large clouds are passing over the bridge, occulting most of what lies on its surface. Open the eye as you venture forward. Who knows what such a massive sea of clouds may hide underneath its humid surface ?
Summits of evil — The lair of the archlich on top of the mountain is almost in view. What ultimate threat will the wretched creature throw your way in a last attempt to deter you from your mission ?
