The siege has lasted for many weeks now. Slowly but surely the defenders have been weakened, and they will surely surrender any day now. However, a relief force is on the way and it won't be long before they arrive. Their arrival might make all for naught. Maybe a direct assault is our only hope? The tension rises as the end of the siege approaches, either in an assault that shall be remembers in song for centuries to come, or a defeat that will be recalled in tragedies.
