Army of The Faith

Whether you are role-playing in a grim-dark sci-fi universe or a technologically advanced fantasy realm, this army of warrior women stands ready to defend the faithful.

Defeat seemed imminent. Wave after wave the enemy kept coming. The exhausted defenders were forced farther and farther back into the city, they were digging trenches in the parks and forcing wounded soldiers to fight. They were so low on ammunition, soldiers were searching the pockets of their dead comrades, the moment they fell over. Some prayed. They prayed to a higher power, prayed for relief to come, prayed for salvation, or at the very least they prayed for death to be painless and for it to be quick.
It was sudden. The entrenched defenders heard the sounds of the jets first, some did not dare to look up in horror, those that did wept tears of joy.
On armoured wings they came, descending from the sky like angels of vengeance. The fury of their guns reverberated like thunder. Their swords roared with the anger of the divine. So graceful were they in their flight, so splendid their robes and tabard. There could be no question that the almighty had sent his army from the heavens.
As the soldiers looked around them, more of the black armoured women appeared to reinforce their ranks. They were beautiful and terrifying at the same time, those that did not wear their helmets, had the faces of angels, yet they were scarred from what seemed like a life of battle. Each blemish was proof they could weather this storm. Enemy fire did not frighten them, nor did their war-machines for they had striding mechanical terrors of their own. Machines walking on two feet belching fire and smoke, threaded tanks carrying even more of the women. Preachers walked among them carrying relics and singing passages from holy-books with megaphones. Inspired, and their faith restored, the soldiers charged out of their defences to support them!

This is the Army of The Faith. These miraculous warriors show up when times are most dire to defend mankind’s holy lands. They take the faith to the faithless in their crusade to unify the galaxy under one god. For in space any land is holy that belongs to human beings. In this art pack you will find:

Vehicles and Maps. The faithful carry out their crusade with the help of mechanised infantry carriers and bipedal all-terrain assault walkers.
Warriors. There are several types of warriors in this army. Ranging from those that wear heavy armour and wield even heavier ranged weapons to those zealots who wear no armour at all and carry swords into battle.
Agents. Converts to the faith or warriors that do not conform to the standards of the main army. They are assassins, witch hunters and priests. Those who bring the faith to the faithless or ruthlessly hunt down the heretics who hide among the flock.
Helpers. They are the cybernetic angels who carry the ammunition or light the way for the army to fight in the dark.
Items and weapons. They are the guns, the swords, the relics and the tools of the faith.

This art pack grew out of a commission for Patreon that I did months ago. I was asked to draw 5 of these holy warriors and I did. Then I just never stopped and the project grew into what it is today as I kept expanding on it more and more. It is intended to serve as a companion to my previous “Planetary Defenders” and “Imperial gunblade” sets. I intend to continue this series or come back to it in the future.
