Hi Hi There.
Your characters have been hired by a city nobleman to find an ancient and valuable item that was lost in the swamp many years ago. The highborn provided them with a crude map indicating the object's whereabouts somewhere in the swamp, but had no other useful information.
Your characters had been traveling through the swamp for several days, enduring the heat and humidity, but had found no clues about the object they were looking for.
However, in the center of the swamp, they stumbled upon a group of cabins built on the water. The cabins were small, made of sturdy wood and supported by tall pillars that plunged into the dark water of the swamp. Wooden bridges connected the cabins, and boats were used to travel and bring food.
There they could exchange some of their belongings for groceries and ask for information about the area. One of the locals told them a legend about an ancient and valuable object hidden in a cave in the heart of the swamp, but no one had been brave enough to look for it. Maybe it is worth exploring the cave.
The swamp vegetation surrounded the cabins, forming a thick curtain that hid their presence from the eyes of strangers, so hiring a guide to explore the area would not be a bad idea.
