Khadala is what remains of an old abandoned city built in the walls of a giant pit, so deep that the bottom is lost in darkness.
The small wooden cabins that cling to the walls are connected by precarious bridges and platforms that wobble from the dense air blown from the pit. The old elevator that once served as a way to reach the bottom of the pit still stands, but it is in disrepair and may take weeks to fix.
Despite the danger that lurks in the darkness below, adventurers are drawn to Khadala in search of treasure and knowledge. Some whisper that there are valuable artifacts hidden in the depths of the pit, while others believe that it holds the key to uncovering the truth behind its origin.
Some say it was created by a powerful magical spell gone wrong, while others believe it is the result of an ancient war between gods. Still others claim that the pit is a gateway to another world, and that those who venture into the depths will find themselves transported to a realm beyond imagining.
The truth is that no one has ever come back, and those who tried to reach the bottom, never found it, no matter how long they descended. Maybe that elevator was only another try to reach the base.
