A tide of ruin approaches the venerable city of Myrillium! By the actions of a few careless adventurers, an ancient plague of scintillating, dark necro-metal has been unleashed upon the world. Growing in strength and intelligence with every life it claims, it twists and torments living flesh, infesting its victims with necrotic metal and gradually transforming them into its undead puppets. On the fringes of civilization, among the disparate border towns and villages that lie far from Myrillium’s light, the infection is spreading, rallying its forces to converge upon the ancient city and consume its inhabitants.

Sent to investigate reports of missing messengers from the edges of Myrillium’s influence, the characters will soon find the trail of death and ruin left in the infection’s wake. They must warn Myrillium, convince its rulers of the severity of the threat, prepare the city for the oncoming onslaught, and eventually fight in a desperate siege against the hordes of the dead…
