Infernal Forges

Deep below the earth lies the realm of the eeüröns, infernal giantkin bred by the forces of Hell to serve as blacksmiths. The eeüröns long ago shook off their chains, betraying their masters and fleeing to the material realm in search of a new homeland – and subjects of their own to conquer. For generations their armies of dark iron automatons and hell-forged weapons have been rebuffed by the kingdoms of the grey dwarves, but soon this balance of power could be broken forever.

Seeking to undermine their hated foes, the eeüröns have dammed a vast lava river that provides heat to the caverns above them. They intend on freezing out the bastions of the grey dwarves and using the stolen heat of the river to forge merciless siege automata capable of trampling the dwarves’ mighty walls. If they are not stopped, the dwarven kingdoms will surely fall, and the eeüröns will soon be rampaging across the surface world…
This adventure is designed for four to five 5th-level characters.
