As you touch the blot of shadow, something has changed. Something is… wrong. The world is now black and gray and even the light is as dim as moonlight being viewed through a veil. The shadows of bare, rocky crags seem to reach out into the sky to ashen was little light there is. The sky is empty. There are no clouds yet you see no stars, no moon. The landscape feels cold, empty… dying. It whispers to the depths of your despair and draws forth primal terrors that even the most resolute of heroes would fear. You can feel a chill but there is no breeze. The air is still. All is silent.
This is not right. This is not home. The darkness of the world is overwhelming and it permeates every piece of landscape your eyes settle upon. You are filled with dread. This is where you will die.
You have crossed into the Shadowfell.
Inspired by Shane Dayton
As you may have gathered, my campaign is on the precipice of a dark turn and for that reason my fifteenth creature collection takes us to the Demiplane of Shadows. You will find all manner of shadowy creatures straight out of a nightmare to throw at your players. I've also thrown in a few 'Shadowfell' versions of tokens from my People Packs. They're just recolors (or removedcolors) so I didn't count them in the number of tokens included in the set. Consider them a bonus that may or may not be useful to you.
Sizing. These tokens are appropriately sized for Roll20 with each gaming square representing a 5ft. sq. area and are constructed to fit to the grid so resizing does not distort the token. Unless stated otherwise in the token name, the default size is 1x1.
Recurring Characters. Is there a Shadow Monster here you'd like to see more of? Perhaps other poses or other color variations? (or with color?) Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter and I can try to incorporate them into a future set.
