The Curse of Renenutet is a desert adventure with an Egyptian theme. The primary antagonists are the mysterious and deadly Yuan-ti.
After getting lost in the desert, the party finds an ancient town populated by the worshipers of the goddess Renenutet, who has recently plagued the town with famine and drought. The characters are offered the sword of the god Montu as reward, if they travel to the deserted city of Amon Sarat to discover what has displeased Renenutet, and resolve whatever the problem is.
They will need to enter the 5-level Pyramid of Renenutet, and not only face the Yuan-ti which have made Amon Sarat their new lair, but also tackle the many traps left behind by the ancient priests of Renenutet, and devious new ones added by the Yuan-ti. If they are able to reach the Room of Ascension, they will face a dreaded Anathema, as she is finishing the ceremony to ascend to godhood status. Can they stop her in time?
The adventure includes 3 desert encounter maps, 3 optional desert random encounter maps, the village of Renap Tah, the center of the deserted city of Amon Sarat, and all 5 levels of the Pyramid of Renenutet. There are 15 different species of creature to encounter, as well as 6 different types of Yuan-ti, including the newly created Golden Malison. There are numerous realistic top-down tokens, including 9 multi-sided tokens to add more realism to the adventure. There are many items the characters can interact with and view, as well as several pinned locations where they can view images of the location. This is a very detailed and immersive experience I think your players will love. Traps, puzzles, riddles, and Yuan-ti galore! There are also several unique magic items, and a transparent Gelatinous Cube I'm sure you will find other uses for.
Other Adventure Wright modules include The Rust Of The Story, The Talachrite Mines, The Huntress, the mini adventure created to bring a new group of adventurers together - Orc Attack, which also sets the stage for the Gaunt family trilogy; Legend Of Creepy Hollow, Through Enemy Lines, and The Dragon Riders.
