The Deep Scriptorium lies hidden beneath forgotten stonework, sealed passages, and routes known only to those who serve The Watchers. Blue candles burn beside chained books. Glyph plates turn without hands. Whispers move through the walls, offering answers that arrive too early and cost too much.

The Temple of Greed stands in the Southern Valleys as a private trade house, devotional mansion, and guarded treasury built over a forgotten holy site. Its golden doors open only for those who bring value, and its halls are filled with ledgers, coin sacks, molten gold, rotten feasts, and stolen offerings.

Within the temple, The Golden Palm gathers relief shipments, heirlooms, sacred vessels, and forged debts into the Grand Hoard. Their ritual, The Golden Claim, is already active. Hoard Points track how much wealth reaches Varo’s final chamber, while Greed Exposure tempts characters who take too much or hide what they claim.

At the center waits Varo, Fallen Saint of Greed, surrounded by Wanting Souls, Burdened Ones, the hidden truth of The First Coin, and the huge golden hands of the Grand Hoard.

Adventure Description

Varo, Fallen Saint of Greed is a compact Saints of Ruin adventure built around stolen wealth, corrupted charity, and ritual hoarding.

Designed for 1-2 sessions, this release features:

Saints of Ruin is a collaborative 5E adventure line about fallen saints, the cults that sustain them, and the consequences of belief taken too far. Each release is a compact hunt built around an active ritual, a single location, and outcomes that carry forward beyond the adventure.

This adventure can be adapted to your own campaign, played as a one-shot, or be part of the Starlight Chronicles setting that connects everything made by Kelfecil's Tales.
