It's low tide and your players need a fight; you need a twist, fast. Conveniently Pearls Before Lizards is right here for you.
Your adventurers arrive in a fishing hamlet where the air reeks of salt and suspicion. The locals hire the party to deal with "aggressive" lizardfolk, spinning tales of stolen children and cursed waters. The lizardfolk settlement gleams with mother-of-pearl inlaid trinkets across the bay, while the fishermen's huts sag with neglect. The fisher’s coin is light, but his tongue is heavier, all pointing to the "monsters" across the water. He knows the score. The question is: do the players?
The players’ instincts will be to scout, to question, to dig. And dig they should. The fishermen’s stories don’t add up. The "drowned" victims bear lizardfolk healing marks. The lizardfolk’s "hoard" is but children’s playthings to them. And the fishermen? They’re ready to play their part, painting the lizardfolk as villains while sizing up the party as their next tools.
The lizardfolk know peace. The fishermen know greed. And the adventurers? They’re about to find out just how far the bay’s resentment flows, once you shove in your next plot hook for your next adventure!
