Gnoll & Void is the first in the Quick Encounter series. These detailed and often multi-waved encounters are designed to be slipped into any existing campaign to add a fun, interesting, and detailed encounter. Each Quick Encounter includes 1 or 2 photorealistic maps, original and hyper-realistic top-down tokens, usually including multi-sided tokens, at least 1 original magic item, creature, or spell, and whatever original assets are needed to complete the encounter. They are well above just a typical encounter, and your players will love the detail.
Gnoll & Void highlights the oft overlooked Gnoll race. The characters will see a small band of Gnoll warriors ahead on the road carrying a good-sized chest who are blocking their passage, They are led by a Pack Lord. The warriors will soon be joined by a group of Gnoll Hunters. Finally, a dreaded Fang of Yeenoghu will arrive, accompanied by more Hunters, some armored hyenas, and some Witherlings. The characters may either take on each wave separately or hide and risk facing them all at once. While the battle rages, the Fang will open the chest to pull forth a newly recovered relic of his god, which allows him to summon a heinous demonic Shoosuva from the void to enter the battle. Already challenged by the war party of Gnolls, can the will of the characters hold up when the demonic beast emerges from the void to join in the carnage? There is only one way to find out.
This encounter includes 2 versions of the map, one in a red rock desert and the other in a more temperate climate, to better match the location of your campaign. There are multi-tokens for the Warriors, the Hunters, and for the Flame of Yeenoghu, and tokens for the Pack Lord, the armored hyenas, and the Witherlings. There are 2 original magic items, an awesome token for the void, and a multi-sided token for the chest. There is also a guide to best organize and run the encounter to optimize your players' enjoyment.
