In the frozen reaches of Latakar’s northern tundra, remnants of an old war still stand locked in ice. Once a battlefield held by disciplined knights and arcane officers, the outpost fell during a frostblight surge that consumed both victors and defenders alike. Where soldiers froze at their posts, something else endured. A cryomancer bound to the frostblight rose from within a fallen knight’s body, preserved and reshaped by Soulfrost and command magic that never fully faded.

The Frostblight Cryomancer Monster Hunt is a 5th edition short adventure designed for 3 to 5 characters of 8th level. This hunt features a disciplined, high-pressure boss encounter set within the Frozen Tundra, where frostblight corruption preserves bodies, commands linger beyond death, and the battlefield itself responds to rigid authority. The fight challenges players with controlled positioning, escalating reinforcements, and a multi-phase confrontation against a commander that refuses to release its hold. Ideal for groups who enjoy tactical combat, grim atmosphere, and enemies that feel deliberate rather than chaotic, this hunt delivers a cold, methodical test of resolve.

This adventure can be adapted to your own campaign, played as a one-shot, or be part of the Starlight Chronicles setting that connects everything made by Kelfecil's Tales.

This adventure can be played at any level by adjusting the number of monsters in it as well as their behavior. It has been made with Roll20 in mind and can therefore run very smoothly on this Virtual TableTop.
