The characters are staying at an inn along the road and encounter a Gnome Bard, who they discover is also a thief, when some of their coins and several items of value come up missing. While searching for him, they encounter a rare Drow Huntress, who is also tracking him to collect a bounty. They may decide to work with or in competition with the powerful Drow. The Bard sang a song which provides them with clues on where to look for him. The Huntress says he has gone to the city of Borrew. The adventure will lead them to Lower Borrew, aka the city slums of a fascist city state. They'll search for some clues in Hyde Park to find the hideout of the Shadow Gang, a band of local thieves which the Gnome belongs to. In the end, they will have to decide whether to ally with The Huntress or side with the pragmatic Robin Hood like thieves.
The game includes maps of the outside of the Cross Dragon Inn, the interior of the inn, a road battlemap, the Borrew Office of information and bounties, Hyde Park, and two maps of the thieves' hideout beneath Lower Borrew. There are also more than 2 dozen top-down tokens, and a couple of original magic items, and a few very fun handouts. This is a fairly short adventure, likely taking no more than 2 sessions.
Don't forget to take a look at other Adventure Wright modules, including The Rust Of The Story, The Talachrite Mines, the mini adventure created to bring a new group of adventurers together - Orc Attack, which also sets the stage for the Gaunt family trilogy; Legend Of Creepy Hollow, Through Enemy Lines, and The Dragon Riders.
