Beneath the streets of Isenia, water no longer flows where it should. In a collapsed sewer chamber long forgotten by maintenance crews, runoff, debris, and neglect have pooled into something that refuses to remain inert. Tools vanish, workers do not return, and the tunnels themselves begin to feel crowded and unstable. What has formed below is not a mind in the usual sense, but a mass shaped by pressure, accumulation, and time. The sentient ooze expands slowly through the chamber, reshaping itself around stone, bone, and stolen materials, turning the environment into a shifting hazard. Confronting it means fighting for space, footing, and control as the lair itself works against the intruders.

The Sentient Ooze Monster Hunt is a 5th edition short adventure designed for 3 to 5 characters of 5th level. This hunt focuses on environmental pressure, layered combat phases, and a steadily escalating threat rather than sudden spectacle. Set beneath the grim streets of Isenia, it challenges parties to manage space, withstand constant interference, and adapt to a battlefield that becomes more hostile the longer the fight drags on. The encounter emphasizes endurance, positioning, and hard choices under pressure.

This adventure can be adapted to your own campaign, played as a one-shot, or be part of the Starlight Chronicles setting that connects everything made by Kelfecil's Tales.

This adventure can be played at any level by adjusting the number of monsters in it as well as their behavior. It has been made with Roll20 in mind and can therefore run very smoothly on this Virtual TableTop.
