It's 5 o'clock and your adventure's at 6; you need an inn, fast. Conveniently, though the road is rough, the crops are untended, "The Brandy Inn" is right here for you.
Your adventurers arrive at a small, struggling inn, its walls nearly swallowed by the encroaching forest. The place is serviceable but something feels off. The middens are too many, the graves too shallow. The barkeep's hands are always busy, the beer flows a little too freely, and Brandon, the inn's surliest patron, watches with a drunkard's arrogance. He knows the score. The question is: do the players?
The players' instincts will be to poke, to prod, to dig. And dig they should. The earth around the Brandy Inn hides more than just poor bookkeeping. Bloodstains linger where they shouldn't. The stench of 'local thief takers' clings to the air. And Brandon? He's ready to play his part, accusing the party of framing him, all while sizing them up as his next marks.
The barkeep knows what's coming. The bandits know what's at stake. And the adventurers? They're about to find out just how far the Inn's secrets go, once you shove in your plot device for your next adventure!
