Marshlight Remedy blends investigation, social tension, and unpredictable combat within a living swamp settlement on the brink of collapse. Act 1 sets the stage as adventurers approach the fortified camp, choosing whether to infiltrate, reason, deceive, or fight their way inside. Act 2 unfolds as a social sandbox filled with frayed tempers, corrupted wildlife, desperate patients, and leaders straining under fear. Every conversation shapes the settlement’s stability and guides the path toward the final confrontation. Act 3 brings the adventurers face-to-face with Rograk, the suffering troll whose blood fuels the “remedy.” Whether they choose negotiation, mercy, or battle, the fate of the camp hangs on their final decision.
This adventure focuses on grounded stakes, shifting loyalties, and emotional weight. It is perfect for groups who enjoy tense roleplay, moral dilemmas, and combat that emerges naturally from narrative choices. Marshlight Remedy is a 5th edition, level 4-5 swamp adventure set in Central Latakar. Designed for 1 to 2 sessions (4 to 6 hours), it features flexible social encounters, multiple narrative paths, and a two-phase boss fight with Rograk of the Fen. Ideal for tables that enjoy grounded storytelling, tense negotiations, and small-scale adventures driven by character choices.
