The Dead Man’s Cove has always been a rowdy dockside tavern, but tonight things have gotten a bit out of hand. The tavern has been seized by spectral pirates, forcing the owner, Amaro Drake, to flee into the foggy night. The ghostly intruders say they are here for revenge and will not leave until they have it. Desperate to reclaim his home and reopen his place of business before it is destroyed by the ravaging spirits, Amaro is offering a reward to anyone brave enough to enter the now haunted tavern and banish the intruders before morning.
In his call for help, however, Amaro has omitted a crucial detail. These are no random ghosts, they are his former crewmates, whom he betrayed decades ago. And Bronn, the leader of the ghostly pirates, desires not only vengeance on Amaro but also the return of his amulet, which was stolen from him as a part of Amaro’s betrayal.
In this adventure the players can uncover the truth of Amaro’s past, confront the betrayal, and ultimately decide who deserves to finally find peace.
