Wizards are dying, their arcane power failing them at the worst possible moment. Fear grips the magic using community as a shadowy cabal of assassins, wielding a terrifying substance called Mage Bane, stalks the streets, systematically eliminating practitioners of the arcane arts. Local authorities are baffled, but a desperate group of magic-users suspects the key lies in a rare mushroom cultivated deep within a perilous cave system.
These caves, however, are not unguarded. Allies of the assassins protect the valuable ingredient, ready to defend it with deadly force.
A band of adventurers is needed to delve into the darkness, brave the dangers within, destroy the source of Mage Bane, and expose the mastermind behind these heinous crimes before the city's magic is extinguished forever.
