Fear and despair grapple you as you lie on the sacrificial altar in chains. You stare up at what would have been the night sky through the trees, but all you see is flesh. 'Am I inside the belly of a beast?', you ask yourself. You hear footsteps, and assume that it is yet another creature patrolling these depths, but suddenly you feel something wrench at your shackles. You hear a whisper against your ear, 'We're here to save you. Be silent!'. Your eyes open fully for the first time in weeks with utter delight, and shock."
