Raising the Mastodon is a Fifth Edition adventure for three to six characters of 1st to 3rd level, optimized for a party of 1st-level characters. A tribe of goblins, under the leadership of their necromantic shaman, have plans to raise the bones of the mastodons, great subterranean beasts that once roamed the caverns that surround the settlements of Sinkledug. To complete their ritual, they require live sacrifice — and a merchant's son has gone missing. Can the party follow the goblins' tracks fast enough to find the boy in time? This adventure takes place in the world of Cartosia, but location-specific information is kept to a minimum, and places and names can easily be changed to place the adventure in almost any other campaign world.
