Sci-Fi 5.5E

Play as bounty hunters, galactic explorers, or daring space marines in a universe inspired by the likes of Star Wars, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Expanse, and Doom. Dark Matter is for any player or GM who wants a little more sci-fi in their 5E game, whether they just want to dabble with lasers or blast off in a star ship and explore strange, alien worlds.

• Easy and intuitive starship combat rules
• New player options, items, and spells
• An arsenal of innovative and deadly blasters
• A bestiary of alien friends and foes

Dark Matter builds on the core classes, races, and rules of the 5.5E game you know and love, so you can play a sci-fi game without learning a new system. Whether you intend to dabble with blaster rules or explore the host of new alien races and worlds of Dark Matter, you can blast off in your very own ship in minutes!

Strap yourself in as a pilot, gunner, engineer, or captain of your very own starship using Dark Matter’s ship combat rules! The entire party must work together to brave the perils of ship-to-ship (or the dreaded ship-to-terrifying-space-monster) combat, as you deal hundreds of damage at a time in nail-biting volleys. You can also customize your very own hulking battleship, smuggler ship, or humanoid mech suit for a sci-fi 5E experience.

Beautiful Monsters

Make use of the 121 new monsters to populate your sci-fi world including the terrifying undead Husks, massive Planet Ooze, classic Sandworms, alien Vortirrackt, and many many more.
