Each map tile represents a 5-foot square of terrain, rendered at a scale that maps each real-world inch to three on-screen pixels. Adventure map creation can be performed within Roll20 using the program's in-app tool set to create small adventure maps, while for large, complex adventure maps, we recommend importing the map tile art assets into graphics editing programs such as Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or Gimp. Then, importing the completed adventure map into Roll20 to apply finishing details such as dynamic lighting data points.

Then seamlessly assemble your science fiction landscapes like LEGO - block by block - placing down floor tiles, then walls, and then feature objects. For large complex adventure maps, import the art assets into an external graphics editor, then import the completed map into Roll20 to add dynamic lighting data for your adventure.
