The colossal subterranean craft known as the Scarab was built at the command of the iron golem, Xarkissus the Curious, to observe, catalog, and capture the unknown. The Scarab’s steward, called the Curator, set out to retrieve a rare Far Realm predator. Alas, the creature escaped containment, crippled the ship’s systems, and damaged the engine beyond stability. Now, a magical overload threatens to annihilate the Scarab, the nearby village of Walsylor, and gods know what else in a radiant blast of catastrophic proportions.
Drawn into the crisis when the vessel’s mobile minions, the Retrievants raid the surface for resources, the characters descend into an adamantine dungeon of shifting chambers, and fractured laboratories filled with the strange beings from the Far Realm. Time relentlessly ticks away as the heroes investigate the Archives, try to mend the damage in the craft and navigate the zero gravity chambers. The Curator may offer an uneasy alliance, promising knowledge and rare rewards in exchange for capturing the aberration alive. But inside the blazing heart of the Scarab, where magnetism warps steel and radiation seeps into bone, survival will demand ingenuity, sacrifice, and decisive action. This is a high-pressure, tactical adventure where every minute matters and every ounce of metal around you may be your undoing.
