The rich peaty fields of the Goatfish people are renowned for their bountiful soil that has the mystical property of being able to be reaped, harvested and sowed all year around, making this area a hotspot for agricultural endeavors.
Crops litter the landscape as far as the eye can see, rich in both yield and variety.
This region also has another famous feature; it's stone-littered pathways adorned with symbolism. This area is known for it's animalistic shrines and hidden earthly grottos.
Not all of these shrines are aligned to the light. It is known that some of the most mundane locations can be the home to the darkest worship.
It is said that the ground around The Stygian Mill is filled with the blood, sweat and tears of the local workforce, as this long-standing grain grinder has been the lifeblood of the local economy for as long as anyone can remember.
The Stygian family are the owners of this mill, holding many fields and owning a substantial farmstead, funded mainly by the now famous grain produced from this mill.
Amongst the locals it is a hushed rumour that this mill was built in a pact that the Stygian family made with a deceitful warlock. He gave the family the plans for the mill's gears and guided them to where to quarry for the stones used in the grindstones in exchange for the owner's first-born son. Some even say that once a new family member takes the reigns of the operation, they too must give their first-born son to this mysterious warlock.
Previously known as the Stygian Farmstead, the Reuben Family took over this estate after the previous tenants mysteriously went missing almost a decade ago.
This husband and wife, along with their twin children, offload most of the work to their farmhands who till the fields and see to the cattle.
To date, this farmstead is mostly known for their prized cow, Sir Loin. For the last 5 years this cow has been known region wide, winning five consecutive years at the local fairs.
The head of the Reuben family spends most of his day tinkering away in his workshop, covered in soot and smelling of smoke. He is very secretive about what he gets up to in there and the smoke that comes out from the chimneys is seemingly endless. The farmhands have recently grown suspicious of their employer's habits and try to keep a close eye on him without arousing his suspicion.
