Banecroft is an unremarkable small town tucked away along an oft forgotten and seldom travelled offshoot of an ancient trade route. It is a quiet place to live and work, and rare is the map that notes its location. No one living remembers anything of importance about Banecroft or its history.
Nothing of importance has ever happened in Banecroft and nothing important ever will.

Seeking shelter, the adventurers will become embroiled in battles against giant insects, undead, hobgoblins and demons.
If they succeed in their task, they will defeat an ancient evil trapped underneath Banecroft. If they fail, untold torment will be unleashed on the mortal lands.
